On the last Saturday rehearsal it is tradition to let the cast come onto the stage early to take some photos. Not everyone does, but we do! Here's some pics of our family....
Here's some pictures of my Dad's costume. They really went all out for this one!
They had a guy come from Salt Lake to help with the wigs this year that has worked in Hollywood & has even won some Emmy's for his work. He won an Emmy for "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman" & worked on "Santa Clause 3",, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", and "Pirates of the Carribean". His name is Karl Wesson & he did a great job making my dad look like Santa Clause. That's what my girls think anyway with the white hair & the jingle bells on the bottom of his costume. (They're actually small cow bells.) My dad actually did some research about his character & the costume & found that it's VERY accurate. Maybe we can get him to post that info. wink, wink Anyway, enjoy...

wow you guys all look GREAT! My parents are planning on taking some non member friends to the pageant sometime this week. i told them to look for you guys.
I don't even know who that is...it's a good thing he takes the wig, beard, make-up and costume off before coming home - or I probably wouldn't let him in the door! Thanks for getting some nice pics though - he really looks the part - as does your adorable little family! Can't wait to see you all in action.
except that the pomegranates are supposed to be tassels that are in the appearance of pomegranates, not ACTUAL pomegranates... but nice work.

I should have known that you would know the actual specifics on this. :) I didn't make this costume. It's for the Easter Pageant & the costumers do extensive research for the costumes. I'm sure they figured actual pomegranates would show up better than tassels since some people are watching from very far away.
Mel....that photo of you and that biblical man standing next to you is fantastic! Who is that again?
The costume is AWESOME...everyones...but especially that one guys in your photos...who is that...or do you have to keep it a secret to keep his Idenity secret?

That's because I made the same "costume" as a visual aid for my institute class a while ago. Next time you are up here I will show it to you.

Melissa - he's Caiaphas the High Priest. The thing on his chest is a breastplate he wore to represent the 12 tribes. Each tribe has a corresponding "gemstone" & he had a breastplate made with each of the stones in it.
